Terms and Conditions


  • We may charge your credit card up to five days before your arrival date. If the payment is declined, we may cancel the booking.
  • Payment is due upon arrival unless alternative arrangements have been approved in advance. If you would like to extend your reservation, contact Reception 49522822, and it must be paid by 10am; otherwise, you need to vacate the room at 10am.
  • Please do not ask to pay for your room later or when money goes into your account, even if it’s in an hour – this is a form of credit and approval from head office is required, so any requests at Check in will be denied. 
  • Credit card payments do incur surcharges
  • All approved accounts must be settled in full within 15 days of the invoice date. Once payment is made, please forward your remittance advice to reservations@mackaymotorinn.com.au. Late payments may incur additional charges. Receipt of this letter and or Accessing Room constitutes acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms and conditions.



Tariffs and Bookings

Tariffs are determined by the number and type of guests for the specified period. Any changes to guest details or duration may affect the tariff. Prices quoted are current at the time of booking, inclusive of GST, and are fixed upon full payment for your stay. Minimum stay requirements may vary throughout the year. Bookings may be rescheduled without penalty, subject to the revised booking period. Vouchers must be used as stated, according to their value and expiry date; any excess usage will incur additional fees. Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.



Entry and Identification

Mackay Motor Inn reserves the right to refuse entry. In such cases, a full refund will be issued via the original payment method. Valid government issued Photo identification and a valid Credit / Debit Card matching the booking name are required at check-in. If the identification shows a local address, further information and a security deposit may be required. While we will endeavour to honour specific room requests, we reserve the right to allocate an equivalent or higher-value room for the same period if necessary.



Payment Methods

Payment methods include direct deposit - (required minimum 24hrs before your arrival date to see if it has cleared in our account, see below for details or your invoice using surname or Reservations Number as reference), EFTPOS, Credit Card or please call 4952 2822 during business hours for phone processing with accepted cards.

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations are preferred in writing and sent to reservations@mackaymotorinn.com.au
  • Cancellations received more than 48 hours prior to the scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund of any pre-paid amounts.
  • Cancellations received within 48 hours of the scheduled arrival date will forfeit the equivalent of two nights’ accommodation.
  • No-shows or cancellations on the day of arrival will incur the full cost of the two night's stay.
  • If you need to amend your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Amendments are subject to availability and may be made without penalty if requested more than 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • If you choose to depart earlier than your scheduled check‑out date, any credit or refund is at the discretion of management. A written request is required for this to be considered.
  • If Mackay Motor Inn is unable to provide the booked accommodation, a full refund will be issued via the original payment method.
  • Group / Online / Third Party Bookings: Please note that these bookings are subject to different terms and conditions. For details and assistance, please contact our group coordinator directly or the Website / Third party you booked through.



Room Policies

  • Room rates are based on max 2 people; family rooms are based on 4. There is no extra room or capacity for additional bedding. Guests are responsible for any missing or damaged items. We are not responsible for any missing or stolen items.
  • Guests must return the keys issued. Lost keys will incur a minimum $100 Locksmith fee. Late night calls out fees – Up to $250 for the manager. 
  • No pets on-site – no smoking in rooms, excessive rubbish or not keeping the room tidy will incur additional fees. 
  • Consequences of violation: $500 cleaning fee and a charge for three additional nights.
  • Reason for consequences: To restore the room to its previous smoke-free / pet free condition for future guests.
  • Behaviour – Each guest has a right to relax and enjoy their stay, not disturb anyone else, and be respectful. Quiet hours are 9pm – 6am. (During this time, noise should be kept to a low level). Rude or offensive behaviours or illegal activities will be told to leave, and Authorities will be called. No Refunds will be provided in the case of eviction. No unregistered guests allowed, only those guests on the reservation are allowed in rooms. Each unauthorised guest will accrue a $100 fine charged to your credit card and you will be asked to leave immediately without refund. If another guest is disturbing you, please contact Management to handle it. Lost and Found items are kept for a period of 1 week then donated to charity. Perishables are disposed of immediately. We take no responsibility for your items.
